What You Need To Know About James! 

James is currently a Sport Science Technician at the University of Kent’s Center for Sport Studies where he also completed his Sport Science BSc. In his current position James has worked with both high level middle-distance, marathon (And ultra) runners aiming to improve their performance. James has also worked with sedentary individuals looking to improve their short and long term fitness goals. Along with training advice and conducting physiological testing, James will also be commencing a PhD in which he will be researching physiological fitness testing methods.

Running Experience

James has been competing in middle-distance, cross country and road running since 2004 and has been a regular for the Kent Country athletics and cross-country teams in inner-county and nation competitions and also for Medway & Maidstone AC where he also sits on the Board of Trustees. James has also supplied Sport Science support for athletes in his position at he Center for Sport Studies in Kent.

“Would have to be Jenson Button, bided his time in Formula 1 for many years until he was finally given a competitive car in 2009 and he didn’t waste his chance as he ultimately went on to win the Championship title the same year.”

“Would have to be the 2003 Rugby World Cup Final”


3. You Best Training Tip?

“A rest day is better than an injured week”
